Exotic Visits at the Timisoara Prefecture ( Romania)

The prefect of the Timis County, Ovidiu Draganescu,
had yesterday an encounter with the commercial attache
of the Embassy of the State of Israel at Bucharest,
Arnon Arbel. The aim of the visit was the promotion of
economical relations between Israel and Romania and
the preparation of an economic seminar, that will take
place in the Timis county during the month of
February. The aim of the seminar is the presentation
to the Romanian companies of the opportunity to
participate to the AGRITECH 2006 exhibition, that will
take place in Israel, between May 9-11. The Israeli
Representative was given a short presentation of the
Timis county and of the difficulties encountered by
the farmers in this region. Arnon Arbel said that the
Romanian agriculture has excellent natural resources,
and Israel is one of the biggest producers of advanced
technologies in the agricultural field, thus the two
countries being complimentary in the agricultural
field. We have wheat, and they have the machinery to
harvest it.
Also yesterday, the Deputy Prefect of the Timis
County, Mr. Alexandru Chirila, received the visit of
His Excelency, Eugenio Roberto Caligiuri, consul of
the Republic of Ecuatorial Guinea for Romania. During
the talks, the opportunities for investment in the
Timis county were presented, being outlined the
necessity of developing and strenghtening the
economical relationships. In the same time, His
Excellency suggested the twinning of Timisoara with
the Bata municipality in the Equatorial Guinea.
